This guide provides an overview of SELECTED resources on contemporary issues available at the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library. There are many more excellent resources. The process outlined below will help you to use your time efficiently and effectively, and to do your best work. If you have questions, ask any Instructional Librarian.

Your Assignments:

First, You will be giving a persuasive speech on a contemporary social issue of your choice.

Second, you will be preparing a debate on the resolution: "Resolved:When in conflict, academic freedom in US High Schools ought to be valued above community standards.
