This guide provides an overview of SELECTED resources on the state of the English language available at the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library. There are many more excellent resources. The process outlined below will help you to use your time efficiently and effectively, and to do your best work. If you have questions, ask any Instructional Librarian.
Your Assignment:
You will write a 3-5 page persuasive paper on the question: Is the English language deteriorating? You may argue the affirmative or negative, but you must present and defend your arguements.
With your paper, you will turn in your bibliography (list of works cited and end notes.) Not more than 2 of your sources can be taken from the free web.
