The Oliver Wendell Holmes Room is located on the second floor of the old wing of the OWH Library. It is currently being used by as an office by the Director of Academic Support.

The room was renovated through the donations of Edwin C. Andrews, Jr., P. A. Class of 1942.   The OWHL has a Special Collection of materials related to Holmes, some of which is housed in this room.  The collection includes a portrait, an original stereoscope, and Holmes’ medical library. The copy of “The Schoolboy” that Oliver Wendell Holmes read at Andover’s Centennial Celebration with his handwritten corrections was donated by him and is included in the collection.   The Oliver Wendell Holmes Room also holds about half of the Special Collection of Classics materials.
