Freeman Room
The Freeman Room is named for Archibald Freeman, an instructor in History at Phillips Academy from 1892 to 1937. During World War I he served as a captain in the American Red Cross on the Balkan front. In addition to his teaching duties, Freeman was named as the first faculty Chairman of the Athletic Department in 1893.
The Freeman Room is located on the main floor of the library. The room features one the school’s three Stuart Travis murals.
