The Andover Fund

The Andover Fund, Phillips Academy’s annual giving program, supports nearly every aspect of an Andover education and enriches the lives of every student, every day. In fact, the Academy’s educational excellence is directly attributable to the collective effort of alumni, parents, and friends who contribute every year. The Andover Fund provides the Academy with immediate, flexible resources to fund its highest priorities: financial aid, faculty support, technology, and campus renewal, and enables the Academy to respond to special needs that arise during the year.

While tuition covers approximately 55 percent and an additional 35 percent comes from endowment; the Andover Fund provides the remaining 10 percent of the Academy’s annual operating budget. The Andover Fund builds the Academy’s “checking account” of expendable monies and preserves its “savings account” (endowment), ensuring the endowment is available for future generations of students. Every dollar donated to the Andover Fund gives the Academy the equivalent purchasing power of $20 of endowment.
