MCCA/Hospitality Scholarship. To provide financial support ($2,500) to high school students enrolling in a college hospitality program or industry. Essay and two recommendations needed. Must be a resident of MA. Visit website www.massconvention.com  for more information.

Methuen Memorial Music Hall Scholarship. $1,000 for seniors from the Greater Merrimack Valley area planning to major in music.  See Mrs. Mosca in CCO for application details.

Massachusetts Restaurant Association. Candidates are eligible if you plan (and have been accepted) to continue your education in a culinary arts or restaurant or foodservice management program at the college level. Must have foodservice work experience. Visit website www.marestaurantassoc.org.

ASHRAE/Future Engineers Scholarship. Through the generosity of ASHRAE's donor, Mr. Chai Srisirikul, the Boston chapter is offering 14 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 to high school seniors and first or second year college students who will be pursuing an engineering education. National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship. $1,000 - $5,000 awarded. For students who are deserving of funds to help defray tuition expense. The five criterias are financial need, academic performance, leadership/peer group involvement, athletic involvement, and essay content.  Scholarship applications can be obtained by downloading the following file:  NIASHF Scholarship or emailing Chairman Dominic Russo, at drusso@niashfmass.org.

Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program.  $1,500. Students are nominated by the College Counseling Office. Student must be accepted to a college, be a Massachusetts resident, have demonstrated leadership in the school community and excellence in one or more extra-curricular activities. Please visit College Counseling to be considered and receive more information.  For non-Mass residents, please contact your home state’s Department of Education for information on the Byrd Scholarship.

June 2

Norma Lee Murphy Scholarship. Applicants must be residents of the City of Lowell and been accepted to pursue education beyond the secondary school level on a full-time basis. The applicant must show financial need, good character and scholastic record, involvement in community work or work experience and participation in extra curricular activities. Application deadline is June 2, 2008. Application forms are available in the College Counseling Office.

Wisconsin Alumni Association Boston Area Chapter Scholarship. Scholarships for high school seniors to attend University of Wisconsin. Must be accepted and plan to attend UW. Applications accepted from students in MA, RI, NH, VT and Maine. Must have 3.1 or better GPA and demonstrate extracurricular involvement and/or community service. Two letters of recommendation needed. Visit website www.uwalumni.com .

Gerondelis Foundation Scholarship. Scholarship for those with Greek lineage who meet qualifications of application. Must reside or attend school in Essex County, rank in upper 15% of his/her class or achieved 1200 on SAT, admitted to a four year college and be at least one half Greek.
