Need-Blind Admission

Goal: $65 million

In the past six years, both the percentage of students on financial aid and the amount of the average grant increased incrementally as we moved toward, and in 2008 achieved, need-blind admission. A cornerstone goal of the 2004 Strategic Plan, need-blind admission reflects Andover’s commitment to access for the most talented youth from every quarter. Today, 44 percent of our students receive financial aid, with an average grant of $30,400. (Boarding tuition in 2009–2010 is $39,900, and day tuition is $31,100.)

Summer Experiences

Goal: $3 million

Andover values the learning that takes place during the summer. It serves a vital role in enrich the students’ overall educational experience. To that end, we seek funds to help students participate in summer enrichment programs on campus, throughout the United States, and abroad.
