Andover welcomes best-selling author Reza Aslan

Start Date: February 01 7:00 PM
This event is open to the public

With authority, wit, and infectious optimism, international best-selling author Reza Aslan addresses the topics of Islam, the Middle East, and Muslim Americans. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Friday, February 1 at 7 p.m. in Kemper Auditorium in George Washington Hall, on the campus of Phillips Academy.

The author of two books, "No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam" and "How to Win a Cosmic War," Aslan is also the editor of two literary anthologies that use the arts to bridge the gap of understanding between East and West, and to strengthen Jewish and Muslim relations.

Aslan is considered a prominent voice for a young generation of Muslims--socially conscious, politically active and technologically savvy--who fight for democratic reform. His appearance is sponsored by the Phillips Academy Office of Community and Multicultural Development (CAMD) and funded by the Abbot Academy Association.
