| The
girls' soccer program at Andover has earned a reputation for
being one of the top programs in the New England Prep School
scene. Both the varsity and junior varsity soccer teams have
worked their way to winning records for the past ten years.
In addition, the varsity team has been invited for post-season
play for eight of the last ten years. In 1993, girls' soccer
at Andover proved untouchable. The varsity squad punctuated
the 1993 season with a shootout win in the New England Championships.
Equally impressive was the junior varsity team from 1995 to
1998 when this squad went undefeated for three straight years.
Andover soccer players have gone on to star for such colleges
as Princeton, Harvard, Union College, U. Maine and Carnegie
Mellon. |
Over
60 girls compete on three different soccer teams at Andover.
Local public schools, large private schools from Exeter and
Deerfield to Choate and Milton Academy as well as Boston-area
colleges (Tufts JV and Harvard JV) provide great competition
for the Andover girls. Whether you have been playing since you
could walk or just have an interest in learning soccer, Andover
has a program right for you. |
