1. Fill out the Candidate Statement, Part One

The candidate statement is also the first page of the application. You can either submit it online or complete and mail the form that is included in your application packet. Please complete this step as soon as you have decided to apply to Phillips Academy. Is is not necessary to complete other pieces of your application at the time you complete the candidate statement.

NAIS's School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) is a comprehensive financial aid services solution. SSS provides schools with an objective methodology for calculating a family’s ability to contribute to educational expenses. SSS provides services that serve both families and schools.

2. Schedule an Interview

An interview is a required part of the application. Day student candidates must be interviewed before January 15th, while boarding candidates must be interviewed by February 1st. Please call our office at (978) 749-4050 to schedule an interview on campus or to find out how to schedule an interview with an alumnus/a in your area. The names of Alumni Admission Representatives can also be found in the back of the admission catalog.

3. Register for a Standardized Test

For applicants to grades 9, 10 and 11
The SSAT exam is preferred, though you may take the ISEE in place of the SSAT. For more information on testing dates and sites, visit www.ssat.org and www.erbtest.org.
The November or December test administrations are preferable; the January administration is acceptable.

Applicants to grade 12 or Post graduate candidates should take the PSAT, SAT or ACT test given prior to January. For more information about these tests, please visit www.collegeboard.com
