The new Gelb Science Center was carefully created to help students learn science by doing science. This state-of-the-art facility, which opened in January 2004, features 48,000 square feet of classrooms, laboratories, meeting and study spaces for biology, physics and chemistry, as well as an observatory with an 18 1/2 foot dome and telescope to study astronomy.
