Social Opportunities

Students enjoying a weekend dance. There's more to a summer at Andover than just work and study. There are also plenty of opportunities for students to relax and participate in social and recreational activities both on and off campus.

Student Life On Campus

Some of the activities students can enjoy on campus on a weekly basis include dances, lectures, films and culural events.

One event in particular that is worth noting is the W.E.B. Du Bois Colloquium, which brings students and faculty together every Thursday evening to explore a range of contemporary topics with scholars, artists and activists.

Social Opportunities Off Campus

Each weekend, several trips are planned for recreation. Some of the typical trips offered in past years include trips to:

  • Historic Boston
  • An Amusement Park or Water Park
  • Outlet Shopping
  • Historic Salem, Mass.
  • Boston Theatre
  • North Shore Beaches
  • Whale watch
  • Museum of Science/ Omni Theatre
