Women's Forum
Club Description
Women's Forum, affectionately nicknamed "WoFo," meets every Tuesday from 7 to 8 pm in CAMD. The group holds a weekly forum on gender related issues which is open to the entire campus, and has traditionally hosted the Take Back the Night coffeehouse in the spring. Women's Forum also partners up with other clubs/faculty during the year to hold specialty meetings on topics such as Asian American Gender Roles (with Asian Society) and the Biology/Neurology of Gender (with teachers from the biology department and Graham House). Topics from this year's meetings include: Cheating and Fidelity, Chivalry in the Modern World, The Relevance of Feminism, Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, "Dirty Dancing," The Meaning of Virginity, Women in Islam, Marriage vs. Love (Settling) and The Myth of 007: Bond Girls Through the Ages...to name a few!
