How To Join

Everyone is welcome to join us in our weekly club meetings as well as special club events. Make sure to sign up at the club rally to be included in our email list or just drop by whenever you get a chance!

Club Description

International Club is open to all foreign and domestic students interested in the cultures, languages, and traditions of other nations. It is our mission to support the hopes of Andover’s Founding Charter, the education of “Youth from Every Quarter”. The international club is one of the oldest and largest student-run clubs at Andover. Originally, it was established to provide support for Phillips Academy’s growing number and diversity of foreign students and to promote awareness, understanding, and appreciation of foreign cultures within the school community.

The New International Student Orientation, which takes place every year just before the start of school, is a student-led introduction to life and study at Phillips Academy. It is a tremendous help and support for all the new international students in their transition to Andover. The club meets every Wednesday evening and encourages the students to learn from one another through cultural or educational discussions, presentations, or games. Some major school-wide events are the International Festival in early November, followed by the International Education Week, when students share and celebrate their unique cultures with the whole school community. International Club is fun because there are a lot of events and activities between the regular meetings, like the log cabin sleepover in January, coed ball games, and the international dance and barbecue in May. Club members have many occasions to bond, get inspired, and learn from one another.
