Club Description

Cool Chinese Art! Community Service! FUN! At Ink Oasis, members learn to draw Chinese Paintings in a painless, fun way. With our art we hope to benefit the society by holding exhibitions, publishing albums, etc. to raise money to build a medical clinic in Ningxia, China. In April 2008, we held an exhibition at the Memorial Hall Library featuring artworks created by Ink Oasis members throughout the year. A casual presentation at Starbucks also took place in the same month. By selling our art to benefit several villages in rural China, we hope to promote the beauty of Chinese art to the rest of the community and doing good along the way.

In each meeting we learn to use different media and techniques to create beautiful artworks. Want to know how to paint a landscape painting with a toothbrush? A flower painting with toothpicks? Come join us and we will open your eyes.
