Projects & Programs

Public and Community Service lies at the heart of the overall mission of Phillips Academy, a “public school with a private purpose.”  Members of our community — whether students, faculty, or staff — are encouraged to further this tradition throughout their affiliation with the school.  The community service program provides a very explicit means by which individuals or groups can engage in the work of community building.  The program is deliberately structured in such a way that there are projects and initiatives that fit nearly any student schedule.  So, whether you are a tri-varsity athlete, a commitment musician, or a budding social activist looking to spend serious time working in the  community, we have something for everyone.
