"More than anything, living in a large dorm has helped me feel at home"
Audrey - Class of 2010
Charlotte, North Carolina
"I met the majority of my friends on the field hockey field in the midst of my first New England fall," says Audrey. "The long bus rides to fellow prep schools, secret psyches, and team dinners all made it so much easier to feel at home at a new school."
She found more friends through her involvement with a slew of extracurriculars, like the Philomathean Society, Center for Global Justice, and writing for three campus publications, including the weekly student newspaper.
"Writing for the Phillipian allows me to feel like I'm impacting the rest of the students," says Audrey, who claims "extreme" journalistic aspirations.
"More than anything, living in a large dorm has helped me feel at home," she says. "Someone's always in their room, a few doors away, ready to share couch space and stories of the weekend. Creating bonds is less complicated than my chemistry class let on. The variety of people at Andover is so extensive that there is always someone to click with."
