Technology & Learning

Technology is an essential tool in the day-to-day life of students, staff and faculty at Phillips Academy. To support those technology needs, the Academy maintains five technology learning centers designed to educate and support academic ventures. These centers consist of the Phillips Academy Computer Center (PACC), The Language Learning Center (LLC), The Polk-Lillard Electronic Imaging Center (PLC), The William B. Clift Music Library (CLIFT), and The Educational Research and Development Lab (ERDL). Andover also offers professional development opportunities for faculty and staff to learn new applications or build on current skills.

Samuel Phillips Jr., the Academy’s founder, provided gunpowder from his Andover factory for Revolutionary War troops.
