Addison Gallery Kicks Off New Season
September 28, 2007

The Addison Gallery of American Art kicked off its fall season with a gala reception on Friday, Sept. 28. The Addison’s latest exhibition features the works of two very different artists--Arthur Wesley Dow, the legendary Arts and Crafts era artist, and former PA artist-in-residence Dawoud Bey, whose piercing collection of photographs of teenagers from a variety of schools also includes some photos of Phillips Academy students. The opening also featured a new body of work by Andover alum Angela Lorenz ’83 who, as Addison Director Brian Allen says, “has taken the meaning of the words ‘blue jeans’ to a new level.” (Photos by John Hurley)
