Phillips Academy fundraising reaches new heights
August 20, 2015
In the 2015 fiscal year (July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015), Phillips Academy raised $34 million in new gifts and pledges and $37.4 million in cash. The many highlights this year include: a new 25th Reunion Gift record of $8.6 million led by a cohort of superb Class of 1990 volunteers; the Class of 2005 reached new heights with 55% participation; and the Class of 1945 celebrating their 70th Reunion set new records with 93% participation and $4.5 million.
“Many factors contributed to this year’s success,” said Director of Development Nicole Cherubini, “including the tireless efforts of our volunteers, who made Phillips Academy a living, breathing priority to their friends and classmates as well as the incomparable leadership of John Palfrey and the Board of Trustees.”
The Academy raised $11.8 million for the Andover Fund —an all-time high—representing a 20.6% increase in unrestricted support over the previous year.
In addition, donor count and participation rates rose in FY15 for both alumni and parents. Alumni reached 33.3% [6,551 donors] compared to 32.6% [6,326 donors] the previous year. Parents hit 59.8% [593 donors] compared to the previous year’s 51.5% [526 donors].

In addition, Andover recently welcomed some new faces to its fundraising team, including Stephen Rodriguez, Director of Annual Giving, who joined annual giving staff Connie Ferreira, Diane Glynn, Jen Hout, and Cathy Sanders.
