Non Sibi Association
Non Sibi means “not for self” and is found in the Phillips Academy seal.
“Just as we reaffirm our guiding principles, today we should also look ahead, to Andover’s future and to the future of education, in America and around the world…What are the challenges of our time...? How can we at Andover contribute, in the spirit of non sibi and our other guiding principles, to making the world a better place?”
--John G. Palfrey
Non Sibi support helps to secure Phillips Academy’s foundation as a world class education leader. Perhaps most critical, Non Sibi support supplements endowment income and tuition, helps preserve need-blind admission, and ensures our ability to attract and retain talented and diverse faculty.
Advancing Andover’s academic, athletic, and residential life programs is a valuable and worthy cause. Your investment in Andover students is one of the best investments you can make in the future.
An Andover student’s education is funded by three primary sources: the Andover Fund (12%), the endowment (35%), and tuition (53%).
Nearly half of our students receive financial aid. Thirteen percent receive full scholarships. Even students whose families pay full tuition are subsidized by the Andover Fund and income from the endowment.
