What is the Parent Fund?

The Andover Parent Fund is part of the Andover Fund which serves as the vehicle for annual unrestricted giving by parents. It supports the education of every student every day at Andover. Given that tuition covers just 55 percent of the cost of educating a student, gifts to the Parent Fund help bridge the gap by supporting financial aid, faculty salaries, technology, and more.
 
In fiscal year 2008, 60% of our current parents (including our alumni parents) made a gift to Andover’s annual fund.  Alumni parents contributed more than $400,000 in unrestricted gifts to the Academy.  Our current parents, along with gifts from parents of alumni and grandparents, contributed $1.37 million to the Parent Fund. This year the Parent Fund is being asked to raise $2 million and it is our hope to engage at least 75% of our current parent population in that challenging goal.
