Passwords

  • How do I change my password?
On the Self-Service Password Management page, choose “Change my Password” and follow the prompts.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you reset your password on all devices at the same time to avoid lockout.

  • How can I manage my own password and lockout status?
Creating a password profile gives you the ability to deal with account lock-outs and password issues yourself, which is especially useful should you have trouble after hours. It is a set of three security questions that, when answered, will allow you to unlock your account.

To create a password profile, go to the
Self-Service Password Management page, choose "Edit my Profile" and set up your security questions.

  • How can I reset my password, if I mistakenly get locked out?
If you have set-up a profile with hints using the Edit my Profile option . . .

    On the
Self-Service Password Management page, choose “Reset my Password” and follow the prompts.

  • Help! I didn’t complete a password profile and I have forgotten my password!
Call the Help Desk during business hours 8am-5pm (x
    4357).

  • What happens if I get locked out of my account?

Accounts lock for a "cooldown" period of 15 minutes, after which they will automatically unlock themselves; even if you enter the correct password during this time, it will not work. If you need your account unlocked more quickly, and you have not set up a password profile (see above) you will need to call or visit the Help Desk.

If you have set up a password profile, you can go to the
Self-Service Password Management page, choose "Unlock my Account" and answer your security questions to unlock yourself immediately.

  • How do I clear cookies from my browser?

If you can't get into a system that you typically do have access to (Instructor Reports, Student Alerts, etc.), and you are sure it's not a password issue, then cookies may be the culprit.
