Supporting technology integration inside and outside the classroom

The Educational Initiatives unit in OIT supports faculty in incorporating classroom technologies, software, and digital and online tools into their instruction in ways that facilitate effective pedagogy and promote student learning. This support includes pedagogical consultation and collaboration, as well as technical support and assistance.

Educational Initiatives is led by Erin McCloskey, who joined the Academy in 2014 after spending 20+ years as an educator in diverse roles across virtually all educational settings: K12 and higher ed, domestic and international, face-to-face and online, and public and private.

The Educational Initiatives team includes specialists in classroom technology, multimedia production & software, video, learning management systems, web tools, and overall tech savvy.

The team collaborates closely with many partners across campus, especially the Help Desk. Visit the People and Spaces section to meet the members of the Educational Initiatives and Help Desk teams.
