Academy Chamber Orchestras Winter Concert

On Friday, February 17, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., at Cochran Chapel, the Music Department presents the Academy Chamber Orchestras in concert.
Chloe Lee ’17 will perform the first movement of Johannes Brahms’s Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77, with the Academy Chamber Orchestra.
Current co-concertmaster of the Academy Chamber Orchestra, Chloe Lee is a student of the Lincoln Trio’s Desirée Ruhstrat. In 2015, Chloe was a semifinalist in the Musicians Club of Women Concerto Competition and a featured soloist in the Young Steinway Concert Series in Skokie, Ill. In 2014, she was the featured soloist with the Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra and Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra. In her hometown of Chicago, Chloe won the 2013 Paul Vermel Young Artist Award and was invited to perform Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra.
Outside the classical music world, Chloe is a fashion blogger and co-owner of a secondhand clothing business. She is also a fashion columnist for The Phillipian; Snapchat host for Clover, an online teen newsletter; and Instagram editor for Mint, Stanford University’s fashion magazine.
