Andover girls fall short against Pingree School, 2-1.

GVS put forth a great effort against one of the strongest competitors in New England prep school but came up short, 2-1, on Smoyer Field. Entering today's match-up, Pingree was 3-0, scoring 19 goals while giving up only 3.
After a first half Pingree goal, Cassie Chin '17 knotted the game, 1-1, midway through the second half. In spite of a number of dangerous chances inside the 18, the Big Blue came up short. Tremendous defensive efforts were spearheaded by Player of the Game, Jeanine Moreau '16 and Natalia Suarez '17. Antonia Tammaro '17 turned away 12 shots in the first half and finished the game with 16 saves. Morgan Kuin '17 earned valuable varsity minutes and demonstrated she is ready to make an impact with her great touch and vision.
