Pingree Hands GVS loss on Smoyer Field, 2-0

At Smoyer Field on September 26, 2016 at 4:30 PM

The Andover girls worked hard against a mighty opponent - Pingree School - but fell 2-0.

While the Andover girls created a handful of dangerous chances, Pingree bested Andover on Smoyer Field by a score of 2-0 on a Monday afternoon match-up. The first twenty minutes of the game saw Andover playing simply and maintaining possession while also showing discipline defensively forcing nine off-sides call in the first half alone. But with less than one minute in the half, Pingree countered quickly to get on the board, 1-0 at the half. While GVS showed some great periods of smart play, Pingree remained gutsy too. Kait Hoang demonstrated for eighty minutes the courageous play that GVS encourages in all their players no matter the day, the circumstance or the opponent and was named Player of the Game.
