Ultimate Team Places 2nd at League Championship Tournament

The Phillips Academy ultimate team placed second at the New England Prep School Ultimate League (NEPSUL) championship tournament this past Saturday at Deerfield Academy.

The Phillips Academy ultimate team placed second at the New England Prep School Ultimate League (NEPSUL) championship tournament this past Saturday at Deerfield Academy. The team went 2-0 in pool play, beating the Cambridge School of Weston (13-3) and The Hotchkiss School (10-6). In the semifinal game, Andover beat Choate Rosemary Hall (13-6). Andover met Northfield Mount Hermon in the finals. After going down 2-7 in the first half, Andover fought back to a final score of 7-11 at the time cap. This was the fifth time Andover and NMH faced each other in the finals in the 13-year history of the tournament. At ultimate tournaments, each team assigns their opponent a Spirit of the Game (SOTG) score at the end of the game, based on their opponent's knowledge of the rules, their ability to self officiate, and their overall sportsmanship.
