At NMH on October 18, 2014 at 2:30 PM

Ethan McIntosh '15 clocks the 14th fastest time on the NMH course!

After ten days of strong training, the PA cross-country boys returned to racing with two wins in the combined varsity and JV race against NMH. Racing brilliantly against NMH's exceptional front-runner, Ethan McIntosh '15 finished second in 17:02, the fourteenth fastest time ever on NMH's hilly course. PA runners took the next five spots as Paul McGovern '15 (17:53), Ralph Skinner '16 (17:54), John Gorton '15 (18:15), Abhinav Venigalla '15 (18:42), and Tom Burnett '15 (18:46) pushed each other during the long stretches of fields and woods of the course. Returning from an injury suffered at Choate, Arthur Doran '15 trailed two NMH runners but held off two more to finish in a strong 19:05, rounding out the top seven. Andover wins, 20-41.

Benefiting from the good competition of the combined race, Keton Kakkar '15 (19:18) and Kailash Sundaram '15 (19:19) chopped off significant time from their races three weeks ago on the same course. Holden Ringer '17 and Jake Peffer '17 followed in 19:42 and 19:43, respectively, both running determined races after a heavy week of training. Noah Belser '16 and BrianPaul Robert '16 finished together in 19:50, and Tevis Vitale '16 came in soon after in 20:06. Max Lee '15 battled his way to a 20:15, and with an exciting final half mile, Jake Zanazzi '18 clocked in at 20:36. The rest of the JV squad followed: Ethan Brown '17 (21:09), Alex Emerson '17 (21:18), Alex Leibovitz '16 (21:21), JongHo Park '16 (22:26), Sebastian Bishop '17 (22:34), Isaac Newell '18 (23:10), Jeff Zaeder '18 (23:53), and Tejasv Arya '15 (26:46). Andover wins, 15-50.
