At New Balance Fields, 242 Stafford Street, Worcester, MA 01603 on November 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM
With an early goal and one just before half, Andover capitalized on their chances to win comfortably over a talented Hotchkiss squad
Playing at a neutral site on a beautiful grass surface that is the home of Worcester Academy's soccer team, Andover got off to a strong start with early chances to Brandon Girard '16. Not long into the game, he took advantage and shot into the lower left corner to make it 1-0. Hotchkiss then pressed Andover for a long period and went close with a handful of chances. Holding strong, Andover continued to find space behind the Hotchkiss defense and some good work by Bobby Dall'18 down the left ended up on the foot of Roberto Rabines '16 who cleverly shot toward the far post where Peder Bakken '16 put it away to make it 2-0 just before the halftime whistle. Early in the second half, Andover started to take over the game and their hard work resulted in Alejandro Diaz '16 making a break down the left before crossing to Alex Dziadosz '16 in the middle who finished the play. Henry Meyerrose '17 then added another off a great shot from distance and late in the game Owen Glover '19 found Rolando Rabines '19 at the back post for a header to finish the scoring for the big blue. Hotchkiss was rewarded for their hard working performance when they got on the board late in the game after sustained pressure and congrats to them on a great season. Many thanks to Worcester for hosting the game and Andover now travels to Milton on Saturday for a midday semifinal matchup against Milton.
