The Big Blue came out ready to play and earned a comprehensive victory over Tilton.
Andover boys varsity soccer was determined to get off to a strong start on Smoyer Field against visiting Tilton Saturday, and the team produced a terrific opening 30 minutes of soccer. Dominating possession and opening up the field, the Big Blue showed their qualities and after ten minutes, Andrei Dumtrescu'18 lashed a layoff from Roberto Rabines'16 past the Tilton goalkeeper to make it 1-0. Keeping up the pressure with more good movement and passing, Andover added another when Brandon Girard'16 struck from the top of the penalty area. With five minutes remaining in the half a series of one touch passes lead to Owen Glover'19 finding space in on goal and he played across the face to Rabines who tucked it away. Up 3-0 at halftime, Andover worked hard in the second half to keep control of the game, and in the final fifteen minutes another strong rush down the left resulted in a fourth goal when Dumitrescu finished from close range.
