Andover falls to Choate on the road.

At Choate on December 3, 2016 at 6:30 PM

Andover drops to 1-1 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. Up next is a home game against Class AA Holderness on 12.7.16

Andover started fast out of the gate against Choate, as eight points from Dallion Johnson got the team off to a 11-1 lead. Strong shooting from Johnson, Andrew Reavis, and Kailin Lee buried Choate in a significant deficit, and Andover headed into the half with a 17 point lead. James Lewis was once again magnificent, scoring in double figures and terrorizing Choate’s defense. Andover’s bigs, however, struggled to stay out of foul trouble, as Lewis, Akshay Mundra, Jackson Emus, and Colby Gendron all found themselves with at least three fouls in what turned out to be an extremely physical game. Choate’s shooters entered the second half with gusto, and had narrowed Andover’s lead to 5 with ten minutes left in the half. The two teams went back and forth, trading baskets and the lead, but eventually Choate would draw ahead on a last-second three-pointer.
