Nowak ’12 Featured as Top-Tier Signee at Michigan State

Nov. 11, 2011 - Andover shortstop PJ Nowak was listed in a Michigan State University press release as one to watch for the 2013 season.

"We're very excited to add these six student-athletes and their families to the Spartan Baseball family," Michigan State head coach Jake Boss says of his incoming recruiting class. "Although we knew it would be a smaller class than the previous three years, this class addresses several needs we had and the quality of these student-athletes both on and off the field is outstanding.”

Prior to arriving at Andover, Nowak earned all-district, all-region, all-league and all-area honors in leading Detroit Catholic Central High School to district and regional titles.

Boss says of Nowak: “His hands and arm strength are outstanding and he's ready to play defensively right now at the Big Ten level. As he continues to get stronger, his bat will continue to improve and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the middle of the lineup as an RBI guy down the road."
