Baseball JV2

Batter SwingingThe JV2 boys' baseball program strives to teach our youngest players the fundamentals of the game including hitting, throwing, and fielding. Basic skills are emphasized in a competitive atmosphere. The team is made up of 9th and 10th graders and participation is stressed as every student gets valuable experience in a competitive setting. Some JV2 ball players have developed enough to be varsity players later in their Andover careers.

Coach: Tom Kane

Highlights

  • Wet and Soggy Baseball JV2
  • 5/15/13  -  Standing amid the sheets of water in centerfield, Noah Halloran put his hand out in the bottom of the sixth, and it filled with rain.  On cue, the umps called a delay.  Noah then led us, two by two, back onto the bus for the return trip to Andover.

The day had no real highlights, with the Big Blue having real trouble gripping the ball and the bats.  Deerfield threw two strong lefties (especially their starter) and PA made some mistakes in the deluge.
