Outdoor Pursuits

What's Your Limit?

In Outdoor Pursuits, students are encouraged to push their limits both physically and mentally in a variety of outdoor settings, while honing their skills in leadership, teamwork, environmental stewardship and global citizenship. In the tradition of Kurt Hahn, we seek to learn by doing, and develop ourselves and each other not just for the outdoors, but also through the outdoors.

Outdoor Pursuits satisfies PA’s Exercise and Sport requirement with three seasons of offerings for all levels of participants. Groups engage in a variety of activities each season, including: exploration of rugged New England, outdoor and indoor rock climbing, backpacking, canoeing, biking, an extensive high and low ropes course, orienteering, first aid, trail blazing, Leave No Trace and more. Throughout the seasons, team-building activities challenge groups to build resourcefulness, self-reliance, and cooperation.
