Leaders' Weekend is held on campus during even-numbered years. Taking place during Andover-Exeter weekend, the second weekend of November. The program usually begins with Friday lunch and concludes with Saturday lunch. Alumni Council meetings form the core of Leaders' Weekend and are open to other alumni volunteers as well. Council committee meetings generally take place on Friday afternoon, but there are also special programs at the Addison Gallery of American Art, the Robert S. Peabody Museum of Archaeology, and the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library. Friday lunch and dinner and the Saturday morning program often feature remarks from the Head of School and other key faculty members. In recent years, the Alumni Award of Distinction has been presented to exceptional alumni on Friday evening. Saturday lunch includes the presentation of Distinguished Service Awards to recognize key alumni and parent volunteers.
Besides the Alumni Council, those invited to Leaders' Weekend include volunteer fund-raisers, alumni admission representatives, class secretaries and web editors, and regional volunteers. Alumni interested in learning more about these volunteer opportunities are also welcome and should contact the Alumni Engagement office for further information.
