How did you hear about Andover?
My parents, brother and sister all attended Andover.
Why did you choose Andover?
In my opinion, there is no better atmosphere than the one at Andover. There is a certain vibe on campus that makes it clear how happy the students and faculty are to be a part of the Andover community.
Favorite faculty member:
Mr. Bardo was my English teacher in ninth grade. His class was both my favorite and most challenging course. He helped me gain confidence as a writer, and never failed to make me laugh.
Favorite class:
I just started taking German this year, and it is so much fun. I look forward to class every day; we even get to sing German songs!
Why do you enjoy giving tours?
Nothing can lift me out of a bad mood like giving a tour. As I walk around campus sharing stories of my time at Andover, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to be a student here. Tours allow me to share my zeal for the academy. The school and the admission office have done so much for me that I am eager to give back in any way that I can.
Favorite Commons food:
Tomato soup, it’s the best.
Favorite Ryley Room food:
French fries of course.
What do you do during your down time?
I love sitting out on the Great Lawn when it’s warm.
Favorite Andover tradition:
Andover/Exeter weekend is the highlight of my year. We get decked out in our Andover blue, paint our faces, and scream till our voices are completely lost; there is truly nothing like it.
Best thing about being a boarder:
Late-night dance parties, and fabulous house counselors.
One thing you would change about Andover:
If I could change one thing about the school, I think I would change the location. If it were on the west coast, there would be warmer winters and I could see my family more.
