Theatre, etc.

I've been really busy this past couple of weeks doing all sorts of theatre stuff. However, the icing on the cake is the Theatre 520 production that is opening in less than a week. Theatre 520 is the course that students take, if they want to be involved in the major faculty-directed production of the term. This fall we're putting on The Odd Couple by Neil Simon. It's a really fun show about two life-long buddies that move in together and get on each other's nerves. I've had a blast so far working as the stage manager. My job is to help co-ordinate all the technical aspects of the show as well as keeping track of actors and rehearsals. Since our show goes up in a week, I've been running around making sure that everything gets done in time. Although it is at times is slightly stressful, working with the faculty and students is fantastic. I'm still in awe of the set that we built. It really feels as if you've stepped into another era.

I also spent a moment the other day looking at the course catalogue to pick my classes for next term. I think that I've found a good balance between courses I should take and courses I really want to. We're going to have a new teacher next term in my German class and I am pretty excited about that. I'm also hoping to take an English elective on non-fiction writing.

The other big event coming up is Andover/Exeter weekend. We're hosting, so all the athletic teams will have competitions this weekend. All the Blue Key Heads (spirit leaders) have been getting everybody pumped up for the weekend. As my final Andover/Exeter weekend as a student I'm definitely looking forward to it. My goal is to make it to every game this weekend. We'll see if I can pull it off though.

I guess I'll leave you with that.
