Hey! My name is Kate Chaviano and I'm from Chicago, Illinois. I've grown up in Chicago all my life and completely love the city. I am a new Junior (9th grader) this year at Phillips Academy and have really enjoyed the new experiences that have come along with the great change in lifestyle. Back home in Chicago, I live with my Mom, my Dad, and my 18-year-old brother who is currently a freshman in college. I love photography, painting, listening to music, playing volleyball, writing, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite subjects in school would probably be Chinese (which I have been studying for the past two years) and English.  I live in Nathan Hale dorm on campus which is the largest freshman girls dorm (and obviously the best!), housing 39 Junior girls. Since I am so new to campus, I have yet to participate in many extra-curricular activities but I am a member of Under the Bed, the schools one and only improvisational comedy troupe. I hope to share some of the most exciting parts of my Junior year with you through my blog!
