International Students

Phillips Academy recognizes that international students who are here for only one year may face unique transitional issues because of their relatively short tenure at the school. The Academy therefore provides some initial specialized courses in English and U.S. history in which language proficiency is less necessary. (See the introductory paragraphs of the English and History and Social Science sections on this web site.) However, all students at Phillips Academy, including international students, are expected to perform competently in the school’s basic curriculum.
