Guidelines & Programs of Study

The following is designed to help Andover students and their parents understand the curriculum and to show the major decisions (and their consequences) that face students at each stage of the four-year academic program. While a student’s program of study is adapted each year to his or her changing situation, the future consequences of taking any given course should be noted, for certain choices in one year open the way to later options and may close the door on others. For help with making course selections and understanding the consequences of these choices, each student is assigned an advisor, with whom he or she meets regularly throughout the year.
