Interests
Caroline Odden was inspired by her excellent high school teachers to pursue a career in teaching. A graduate of Noble and Greenough School, she loved English, art, and math in high school, but fell in love with physics when she took her first course in college. Odden enjoys introducing physics with its many practical applications to Andover’s bright, motivated students. Odden received a B.A. degree from Yale University in 1997, where she majored in Physics and Philosophy and was a goaltender for the women’s ice hockey team. Odden began her teaching career at Westminster School in Connecticut immediately after graduating from college. At Andover since 2001, she now lives in Elbridge Stuart with her husband, two daughters (Katie and Abby), and dog Mandy. In addition to teaching, she supervises the observatory, and she coaches ice hockey and golf. Odden earned an M.S.T. degree in mathematics from the University of New Hampshire in 2004.
