Birds and birding are high on my list of interests. A few years ago I was fortunate to receive some grant money to have a bird blind constructed on campus. This has been a major success, and several Biology classes now take advantage of the facility. I'm also a real fan of Charles Darwin, and thanks to another grant, I have put together a short 'skit' or 'play' focusing on the relationship between Darwin, the H.M.S Beagle, and the Beagle's Captain, Robert FitzRoy. Beyond that, I love running, biking, and spending time outdoors.
