Interests
As a teacher of literature, I am most interested in lyric poetry, especially modern and contemporary. In recent years I have also focused on Irish literature and cultural history. I teach electives on "Yeats and the Irish Tradition" as well as courses on the work of James Joyce. As a teacher of writing, I am also interested in composition theory and writing across the curriculum.
