Interests
After graduating from college, I began teaching interdisciplinary humanities courses at my alma mater, Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, OK. In 1998, I left Booker T. for graduate school. After holding a variety of academic, athletic, and administrative positions at the college level, I joined the Andover English Department in 2004.

In both the required and elective English programs, my courses reflect some of my interests, particularly the interconnections among art, literature, and philosophy, and my newest course explores the extraordinary visual novel, The Wire.

In 2009, I joined the Art Department and began teaching a yearlong survey of the history of art and architecture. Although I am engaged in the entire curriculum, I am especially interested in the philosophy of art, the Quattrocento, Abstract Expressionism, and Velázquez.
