Interests
My fervor to ferret out things—from facts to fleece to photographs—manifests itself in collecting, recycling, and reinterpreting. I am inspired by potential exchanges between the representational and nonobjective, ideas of absence and presence, and materials and techniques. I create to understand the surrounding world, document discoveries, and reveal ties to places, things, and one another. In teaching, I strive to instill my students with curiosity and confidence in their creative promise.
