Adventures in Asia: Hong Kong -- 1/11/10

Barbara in Hong KongA busy and event-filled several days for Andover in Hong Kong have just concluded, and the Andover travelers are off in different directions. I am leaving for London for individual meetings and several alumni and parent events; Jane Fried and Bill Harrold are off to Bangkok for an admission and alumni reception; Peter Ramsey and Luanne Kirwin are en route home to the U.S., and Amy Falls departed for New York several days ago.

Adventures in Asia: Seoul -- 1/8/10

Seoul welcomed Andover travelers with the deepest snow and coldest temperatures in 100 years. My ride into the city from the airport was quite an adventure. As we entered the city, a whole host of methods were being used to clear the snow: front loaders and backhoes along with countless people wielding simple snow shovels. They valiantly battled drifting snow, slippery surfaces, and frigid temperatures. Everyone seemed to take it all in stride, cheerfully and helpfully aiding travelers like me.
