José Díaz Hernández '88
José is an information technology professional at Skyline Steel, LLC, the steel foundation supplier at Nucor Corporation. His primary responsibilities include software development project management, the design and deployment of financial and business reporting solutions, and the assessment, selection, and implementation of new technology tools.
Prior to joining Skyline, José worked in a variety of marketing and technology roles in an in-house and consulting capacity for private-sector entities and Federal government agencies. He also served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army Reserve for a 9-year period and was mobilized for both homeland defense duties in his home station at Fort Dix and an overseas assignment at Forward Operating Base Abu Ghraib during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has completed two tours of duty with the Alumni Council, serves as an Alumni Admissions Representative, and has been an active fundraiser for his class since graduation.
